Landserv has been involved in many land-use planning investigations for biodiversity management. Projects range from land acquisition, development, infrastructure planning and conservation planning.

Recently, Landserv was commissioned by a local government to conduct an investigation of a re-greening site for eligibility under the Federal Carbon Farming Initiative. The planting project was a sustainability initiative and a pilot to act as a carbon sink to sequester carbon emissions. It will also be used for future sustainability planning and potential carbon offsetting in the municipality. The Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) is a federally funded project that creates carbon credits from storing carbon or reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Environmental plantings are known as Sequestration Offset Projects.
