36 council-owned facilities, Victoria

Landserv was recently engaged by a local Victorian council to carry out an assessment of 36 council-owned facilities as part of their commitment to comply with relevant environmental guidelines.

Landserv conducted in-situ soil sampling at all 36 sites, 14 of which returned concentrations of contaminants within the range of EPA Category B contaminated soil.

Landserv submitted an application on behalf of our client for the hazard classification by EPA from Category B to Category C prescribed Industrial waste which was subsequently approved by EPA, thereby saving our client thousands of dollars in clean-up costs.

Following the approval from EPA, Landserv commenced a remediation strategy to remove identified contaminated soil from 14 sites over a two-week period in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

Landserv’s innovative solutions throughout the project allowed significant budget savings to be passed onto the council. For enquiries on our Environmental Site Assessment services, please contact Landserv or call Ryan Edwards or Darren Pendergast on 03-9646 0833.
